Time Horizons talks to the people working on building the future, today. These are the conversations you’ll wish you’d heard in 5 years.


Arthur Allshire (twitter) is a student at the University of Toronto studying Engineering Science. His interests lie in the intersection between software systems an the physical world, particularly in novel applications of robotics. He is doing research at the PAIR Lab under Professor Animesh Garg in Deep Reinforcement Learning and sim-to-real transfer, and will be interning this summer at NVIDIA working on simulation technologies for machine learning in robotics and graphics.

Shrey Jain (twitter), an Engineering Science student from the University of Toronto, is the founder and president of FLATTEN -- an international not-for-profit focused on facilitating data-driven solutions to support communities fighting against COVID-19. Shrey works in the Machine Learning for Health Research Group at the Vector Institute of Technology as well as competes for age group Team Canada Triathlon. Shrey will be working out of the CSAIL AI lab at MIT under Dr. Marzyeh Ghassemi as of the fall of 2021 to continue research in fairness and privacy.
